Quitting

Have you felt like giving up lately?

Is it possible that even a righteous, godly person can become so low and downcast that they feel like they can’t go on and are on the brink of giving up?

It may even be that you have friends you have seen make a commitment to follow Jesus Christ, only to backslide, leaving you frustrated and wondering if it’s worth the effort of doing all that is necessary to become all Christ wants you to be.

You and I must remember there will be those times when we will experience frustrating things in life.

Just because you are now going through a rough time does not mean it will last forever.

So, why would you make choices and decisions that you could regret for the rest of your life? Instead, listen to what Paul the Apostle had to say to the people in Galatians 6:9,

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!”

Even though you may now be having a difficult time and are frustrated, don’t quit!

Instead, continue to persist in doing those things that you know to be right and good, even though your friends may fall away. Just keep your eyes on Christ. He will never fail you.

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
