Conviction is something most people would rather not have at work in their life, yet without the conviction of the Holy Spirit in our lives, it is impossible to please God.

Conviction is something everyone should desire to have at work within themselves because it is when we allow the voice of the Holy Spirit to be at work in us that we can know what it is that Jesus Christ wants us to become. Listen to the words of Paul to a young man named Timothy in Philippians 2:12-13,

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to draw you closer in relationship to Christ and then put within you the ability to live in the manner Jesus would live His life.

It may sound like an impossible achievement, but the Holy Spirit desires to make you and I more like Jesus Christ. Then we will begin to have His passion, His compassion, and live a life in such a fashion that others will see that Jesus is real and can make a difference in their life. Begin to choose to allow the Holy Spirit to do whatever He pleases in you.
