Reach the Heart Moment: Making a Decision

Published on:
April 22, 2021

I have noticed that some of the most miserable people I know are those who can never make a simple decision.

I especially find it amazing when I see a young couple dating trying to decide what to do. The conversation usually goes something like this.

“So, what do you want to do?”
“I don’t know. What do you want to do?”
“Doesn’t matter to me, whatever you want to do.”
“Ok. Let’s do what you want to do.”
“Sounds good. So, what are we doing?”

That little exchange of conversation may sound somewhat silly, if not plain stupid. Sadly, it is true of the way many people live their lives. They can never make a decision!

As a believer, we should be the most decisive of all people.

James 1:8 says that,

“Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

As a Christian, you and I need to have a made-up mind that we are going to first serve Jesus Christ and that nothing will be able to sidetrack us from that commitment. The second thing we need to decide for ourselves in our commitment to Jesus Christ is to make our own choices not influenced by the world. Being decisive, focused, and committed will increase your probability of great success.

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
