Reach the Heart Moment: Not First, But Center

I hear so often the statement “Jesus Christ is first in my life!”

Most of us would probably agree with that statement and have even said it. But, I believe Jesus is not so interested in being first in your life as He is in being the center of your life. For those who say they put Jesus first, willingly start their day by giving Jesus their time. And that’s good! But what about the rest of the day? Is Jesus just as central a part of your conversation with your friends? What place does Jesus have concerning your music and movie choices, and conversations with friends?

Often we make decisions where we separate our beliefs from the things we do because we think Jesus is just not interested in them.

We believe Jesus is not interested in our sports interests or the kind of job we have.

Picture with me a wheel on a bike. A wheel with spokes, and if each spoke is properly attached, the wheel will rotate smoothly. Jesus Christ wants to be the center of that wheel in your life! Every spoke that represents something about you, He also wants to be attached too. One wheel spoke might be your relationships, another your job, and another your life. If each spoke of your life is properly attached to the center, it will bring balance and smoothness to your life. Why not make Jesus Christ the center of all your activities?

The center axle of the wheel is an example of Christ being the center of your life. Be attached to God’s will.

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
