Some of the most outstanding accomplishments ever achieved in our world have not been by the most gifted.

Some of the world’s greatest moments of impact have been by ordinary people who never give up!

Throughout the Bible, God used many people to accomplish incredible feats. We look at what is written about them now and assume they were great people, but most of them were no different from you and me. They were ordinary people who were willing to let God use them.

David was a shepherd boy who became a king because he was willing to let God use him. Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a young teenage girl who said to the angel in Luke 1:38,

“I am the Lord’s servant...May your word to me be fulfilled.”

Moses was a person with speech difficulty and was even afraid to stand before a crowd to speak. In fact, on several occasions, the scripture tells us that Moses fervently asked God to find and use someone else with more ability. But God saw Moses’ heart for His people and chose to use him.

As with David, Mary, and Moses, God still looks for someone who will be willing to make themselves available to serve Him.

Would you be willing like David to face a giant? Would you be willing like Mary to risk your reputation? And would you be willing like Moses to be a leader? If you would, then you are on the edge of God using you!
