Reach the Heart Moment: Politically Correct

Being politically correct has become the hot catchphrase that many liberal organizations want to be certain everyone follows.

Being politically correct and, for that matter, socially acceptable of every activity is not always going to be something that will be right. Proverbs 14:12 tells us,

“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

There are many things that you will face in your life. There will also be those who will say you need to be more understanding and accepting of the way some people are.

It is true that we are to love people and that we accept all people no matter what their race, denomination, or lifestyle choices are.

But nowhere does the scripture say we are to be accepting of their sin. Instead, the Bible says in Philippians 4:8,

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

It will be easy for you to go along with the crowd concerning popular thinking. A true follower of God will be the one who has determined to do what is right rather than follow the crowd.
