Every day you watch and listen to the news, you can’t help but become somewhat cynical of the justice system. Despite what is going on today is no different than what the prophet Habakkuk was seeing in his nation over 2,500 years ago.
Habakkuk 1:2-4 says,
How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, "Violence!"
but you do not save?
Why do you make me look at injustice?
Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.
Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
Does it sound familiar?
Even through all of that, look what Habakkuk 1:5 says,
Look at the nations and watch -
And be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
Even if you were told.
Let me remind you:
And He has a plan that includes you. All you and I need to do is be willing to allow God to use us.
Perhaps God will begin a new thing by using you despite all the negative things happening around us. Philippians 1:6 says,
...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Let him start something new in you!
