Reach the Heart Moment: Wrestle Not, But Stand!

Ephesians 6:12 tells us that,

“...we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

You must remember who your real battle is with and battle appropriately!

Too often, when we are struggling, we want so badly to grab hold of something tangible to blame because it is so much easier to target something or someone with blame. We would much rather say, “I wouldn’t be this way, or have this problem if…” and proceed to make sure we blame somebody other than ourselves.

Often, some things will happen to you, not because you are a terrible person, but because Satan hates those who love God. He is roaming to and fro, seeking to devour God’s people.

In this same passage, there is armor provided that gives you and I the ability to overcome Satan! The Bible says to put on the full armor of God, to be able to resist and having done everything, stand strong! What’s needed to defeat the real enemy is determining that you will resist, stand strong, and continue to do those things that God wants you to do.

Don’t grow tired doing what is right.

When difficulties come, remember who your real enemy is, resist the temptation to blame the person who loves you most, Jesus Christ!

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
